Good day all!
It's a Sunday today!! I'm home and kinda bored a bit..
Anyway, I did promise a review on the movie "Dear John".

Well, as most of you can tell from the picture, it's a love story. *WARNING!, SPOILER!*
Basically, it's about the main lead guy or John who meets the main actress (forgot her name. haha) and they fall in love. But the thing is that they have only 2 weeks with each other as John has to go back to his army thingy and she has to go back to school and can only meet after a year when he ends his army. SO... When they do finally get ti see each other, they're happy! DUH!
But then 9/11 happened (the part when the twin towers collapse due to terrorism), and John goes back to serve his country again, for another 2YEARS! Within that 2 years, they contact each other through letters, not e-mail! Hand-written letters which most of us have not done in ages!
To cut it short!
She finds another guy while John is away for 2 years so they break up. The rest you have to watch yourself! :D
The Verdict: I like the storyline, it's something new and fresh rather than the other boring, typical stories. The story has some parts that keep you on your seat. You can actually feel the emotion the characters are portraying, whether it is happy or sad.
But it's not all good. For people who have read the book, you would notice a few parts missing, obviously! Cause the movie cannot film every part of the book. And also, the main lead actress in the book has brown hair, but in the movie, she's blonde.. The beginning and the end is kinda slow, and the ending is totally lame.. Not really lame but could be better.
Overall, I give it a 8/10. Very well done show indead..
I recommend this movie to those who read the book or love, love stories.. (love, love stories?? -_-")
